Other Activities

Apart from the religious programmes, the following service activities are also carried out by the Bhajana Sangha:

 

  1. A committee was formed to conduct schooling for the children with the motive of inspiring the children with Hindu religious faith in order to inculcate noble Hindu culture and make them the civilised citizens of the country. The ‘Bala Gokula’ is run for the last 20 years.
  2. A separate sub-committee has been formed to concentrate on development of backward Hindu people of the area and to perform funerals of deceased persons free of cost.
  3. Providing assistance like books or other essential needs of education to poor Hindu children.

 

 

 

Special Attraction:

             There will be a colourful procession comprising of divine decorations with various musical accompaniments like ‘shingara mela’, ‘chande’ (drums, which is a speciality of Kerala), Nasik Band, tableau with splendid electrical lightings etc, starting from Sri Mallikarjuna Temple in the town. The procession moves through the prominent main roads of Kasaragod town and enchants the viewing devotees en-route. This will be on the 14th day of dhanurmasa, and will reach Sri Ayyappa Mandir at the time of the night pooja. After the pooja, there will be a special exhibition of fireworks, which has become a famous and popular event of the town.
